7 - BARGAIN HUNT FILMS AT CLYDESIDE ANTIQUE CENTRE!
An episode of the BBC's highly successful and popular Bargain Hunt television programme will be filmed here at the Glasgow Clydeside Antique Centre on March 4th, 2007. Tim Wonnacott and his team of bargain hunters will search out good buys in order to try to make a profit at an auction to be held at Great Western Auctions, Glasgow, on the 31st March.

14 - WE ARE MOVING!
Regular visitors to the Antiques Warehouse here in Glasgow will be aware of the large scale property developments taking place in the area. As a result of this our building is scheduled for demolition sometime early next year. Consequently, we will be relocating to new premises in the near future. We will still be in or near the Glasgow area but the exact location has not yet been finalised. We will of course provide full details here when we can.

18 - FD ANTIQUES EUROPEAN IMPORT PURCHASES EVEN EASIER!
Recent upgrades to our stock database, web site and import procedures now allow our customers to preview many stock items before thy have arrived at our Glasgow warehouse. Stock currently located at our European warehouse will be displayed on our web site with its location flagged so that you can see where each piece is. This is of course updated as stock arrives in Glasgow. In addition, other stock items will stay at our European site and can be offered for sale from there. This allows fd to offer a much larger and wider range of stock than ever before! Keep watching the web site!

fd will be bringing quality American and Canadian furniture to the UK and European markets starting in the spring of 2004. Because we operated out of the Toronto area for so many years before moving our base of operations to Scotland we have access to an extensive dealer network and we know North American furniture very well.

25 - NEW ANTIQUES/COLLECTABLES WEB SITE SERVICE
You may well have noticed that most antiques and collectables web sites are somewhat below par, to say the least! Most cannot be updated easily because that normally requires the site owner (you!) to have a fair level of knowledge about laying out HTML pages, not to mention how the Internet itself works. Given the level of complexity, many people - especially owners of small companies for whom any financial outlay for a web site - cannot be justified unless it is clear that they will get value for money. That is where fd Antiques' web service comes in! Have a browse around our web site - see how the stock database is at the heart of the site. This is updated centrally on one of our PC's and then uploaded to the web server as a single file. The site then automatically 'redesigns' itself, laying out HTML pages showing the stock with a flexible, searchable interface, with no technical knowledge required whatsoever! 29 - WEB SITE LAUNCH
The launch of our web site will enable fd Antiques to let our friends all over the world keep in touch and see our online stock catalogue, which will be updated every few days. Unlike many antiques web sites that employ a static HTML design, the fd Antiques web site uses state-of-the-art Internet program code and database technology. All we need to do to update the stock database is enter each item description into the database and FTP the updated file and images to the web server! The site is a small part of an ambitious sales and marketing strategy which has already started to reap benefits for the company. Keep watchig this space!
