Unusual Scottish oak sideboard/dresser with latin inscriptions to top and on the lower drawers (see photos):

The carved detailing on the exterior panels is of very high quality, almost appearing to be masonic, due to the diamond shapes on some panels. Patination is lovely and we would estimate that the piece was made around 1840 - but it is possibly older than that, especially when looking at the assembly of the old pine panelling used at the back.
There has been some modification to the interior of the lower cupboard section with the installation of additional drawers to the left side and a shelf to the right, probably around 1910. Also, as is common with these pieces, the middle 'gallery' section that would have supported the top section has been removed, and the piece is priced accordingly.
